as configuracoes foram feitas de acordo com o material achado no http://www.daemonnews.org/200101/pppoe.html

o modem e o speedstream 5667 .. com o FREESCO versao PPPOE (arquele roteadorzinho linux que roda nun diskquete funciona legal.)

no historico  da lista achei 2 menssagens relatando o msmo erro mais nao ajudou muito ...
