O default é 1500.

# ifconfig bge0

Se você está usando jumbo frames, no ifconfig provavelmente estará em 9000.
Mas você *tem de ter certeza absoluta* que o switch suporta jumbo frames.

Com certeza essas minhas interfaces não tem tanto tráfego quanto as suas.

Sugiro postar essa dúvida na lista MASOCH-L [1] também, ou até mesmo na GTER
[2].
Os caras lá estão acostumados com ambientes assim: bgp, multi-homed e com
BASTANTE tráfego.
