Daniel porque não tenta recriar o snmpd.conf através do utilitário snmpconf
e tente startar novamente.

eu geralmente rodo o snmpconf e no fim ele cria um arquivo no ~ do root, eu
copio este arquivo para /usr/local/etc/ e mudo o rc.conf para

snmpd_enable="YES"
snmpd_conffile="/usr/local/etc/snmpd.conf"
