I simapthyse with your fug it took me some years to work out that every year I caught the flu a few days before the anniversary of my mother's death. Once I realised that, it didn't happen again. It's 28 years on and I even forget the anniversary of Mum's birthday and death same for my father but I'm not good with anniversaries of any kind, even my own kids' birthdays! Although it's a cliche, time does help healing. Do what your doing being kind to yourself.
